The BVI Cycling Federation invites cyclists from around the region to the inaugural edition of the Tour de BVI. This three-stage race is open to three categories: Elite, Masters, and Women. The event will be scored on a points system for all categories. Prize money and trophies will be awarded to top finishers in all categories.
Event Outline:
· 1st Stage on Saturday 8thApril will be hosted on Virgin Gorda, and the elite summit finish course will be 30 miles, ending at the crest of Gorda Peak. The course for other categories will be slightly shorter, with a climbing finish prior to the big hill climb. Ferry departs Road Town, Tortola at 7:45 am for Virgin Gorda.
· 2nd Stage on Sunday 9thApril will be held on Anegada. 65 miles for the elite, 50 miles for the other categories. Ferry departs Road Town, Tortola at 8:00 am for Anegada.
· 3rd Stage on Monday 10thApril on Beef Island (connected to Tortola) 10-mile Time Trial for all categories.
· Event entry fee US$100 for the 3-Stage Tour, UCI license required for registration.
· Race briefing and registration at the host hotel in Road Town, Tortola on Friday 7th at 6pm.

What a great ride! We had 30+ cyclists out on the road towards West End, selecting various distances to tackle. From youngsters to several more seasoned riders, it was a fun afternoon out, enjoying the sport we all love! We definitely hope to do this again soon!

Celebration of Philippe Leroy's Gold Medal Time Trial performance in the 2022 Pan American Masters Cycling Championships on November 11th in Barrancabermeja, Colombia. This ceremony was held in the Noel Lloyd Park, Road Town and was preceded by a motorcade through town in honour of Philippe's achievements.

The BVI Cycling Federation will celebrate the recent Gold Medal win of BVI Cyclist Philippe Leroy in the Pan American Masters Road Cycling Championship Time Trial. This represents the first ever medal for the BVI in the Pan American Masters Road Cycling Championship.
We invite all interested parties to join us for a ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth II Park on Saturday 26th November 2022 from 3-5pm. A motorcade will begin at Port Purcell roundabout at 3:00 pm traveling west to the park where the ceremony will take place.
Philippe Leroy won Gold on Friday at the 2022 Pan American Masters Road Cycling Championship, held in Barrancabermeja, Colombia from the Friday 11th to Sunday 13th of November 2022. This was first time that the BVI have won a medal at these high-level masters competition and came out on top.
Philippe Leroy represented the BVI in three events, the Individual Time Trial on Friday the 11th Nov, the Road Race on Saturday 12th and the Criterium on Sunday the 13th of November, 2022. Leroy not having a team of riders was unable to place on day two and three, but clearly showed his ability in the individual event on Friday during the high level of competition which included riders from North & South America, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Overall Philippe Leroy placed 1st in the Time Trials on Friday with Gerardo Moncada of Columbia second an impressive 48 seconds behind Leroy and Fernando Al Grajales also from Columbia third 1 minute 27 seconds back. The road race on Saturday saw Leroy placing 18th this being a team event would have required more BVI cyclists for him to place in the top three. The final event Sunday was the Criterium where Leroy placed 12th overall.
